Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has singled out goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher for praise following his โunbelievable and mature performanceโ in the Carabao Cup final 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
Kelleher was one of the stars of the match as the Irishman made a number of top saves to keep the game goalless until Virgil van Dijk headed home after 118 minutes.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the Reds defeated Chelsea, Klopp said his club has the best goalkeeper in the world in Alisson Becker and the best understudy in the game in Kelleher.
โIโm happy with him [Kelleher], very happy with him,โ Klopp said.
โHe played a very good game. Unbelievable! What a mature performance.โ
He added, โWe have the best goalie in the world and the best number two in the world. Iโm very happy for him, top game.โ
