The Fountain of Life Church has announced the burial plan for its late pastor, Taiwo Odukoya.

According to an e-flier shared on the churchโ€™s Facebook page, Odukoyaโ€™s funeral will hold on September 8 and 9 2023.

According to the schedule, a service of songs in honour of Pastor Odukoya will hold on Friday, September 8 while the funeral service will hold on Saturday, September 9.

Both events would take place at the church headquarters located at the Ilupeju area of Lagos State.

Meanwhile, the church has announced that only one service will be held by 9:00am for its Sunday service, and there will be no onsite or online childrenโ€™s church.

OsunDailyNG recalls Pastor Odukoya died at the age of 67 on August 7 in the United States of America.

Alleged Cause Of Death

Reports have emerged on the cause of death of the founder of Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju Lagos, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Recall that in announcing his death, the church did not disclose how he died.

But, The Nation gathered that the respected cleric had health issues mainly triggered by personal tragedies.

A source close to the family said: โ€ He really didnโ€™t get over the losses he suffered. He tried to be strong but there is a limit to what a man can take.

โ€œPastor was more devastated by what people said after Pastor Bimbo died than what actually happened. Many people said nasty things that saddened his heart. He was touched by the savagery of the comments.

โ€œWell, he had no choice and decided to move on despite the heart break. It took a lot of talking for him to decide to remarry.

โ€œIf Pastor Bimboโ€™s death was shattering, Pastor Nomthiโ€™s demise was a technical knock-out. It knocked Pastor down and out. He was inconsolable. He was very bothered about what people would say.

โ€œIt left him totally lifeless. There was nothing we could tell him. It took something deep out of him and some of us became afraid for him.โ€

Speaking further, the source explained that when the clergyman lost his twin few weeks after his wifeโ€™s death it was more or less the last straw.

โ€œFor someone who has lost two important women in his life, it was tough to take the death of someone with whom he shared his womb and childhood.

โ€œIt was a personal, humbling tragedy. He would just gaze and seemed to become completely disinterested in things around him. It was unusual to become totally lost in conversations and issues.

โ€œI believe something died in him at that point. He tried to put up a strong face for the church but he was human. He was died within and it was only a matter of time. That he lived for almost two years after showed the strength of his character,โ€ The family source explained.
