Nigeria legend, Austine Okocha has talked up the performance of Victor Boniface at Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface linked up with Die Werkself from Belgian Pro League outfit, Union St Gilloise this summer.
The 22-year-old has scored six goals in five league appearances for Xabi Alonso’s side.
The striker was named Bundesliga best player in August.
He also scooped the Rookie of the Month prize.
“He’s [Boniface] been amazing. It’s always great to see one of our own doing well,” Okocha told LiveScore.com
“He gives us hope. It shows we are not short of talent. We [Nigeria] just need to get our act together!
“It is an exciting time for Nigerian football and the good thing is their ages, some of them haven’t even hit their prime yet.
“It’s now about finding a way to get the best out of them when they come to play for Nigeria.”
