Serie A champions, Napoli have released Victor Osimhen for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Osimhen is celebrating his 25th birthday today.
The forward is suspended for Napoli’s league clash with Monza on Friday (today) and that has prompted his early release for the 2023 AFCON finals.
Osimhen picked a red card in the Partenopei’s 2-0 defeat to AS Roma last week.
The former Lille player is currently holidaying in Nigeria.
The striker, who is expected to be named in Super Eagles’ squad for Cote d’Ivoire 2023, will link up with his international teammates in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on January 1.
