Bayern Munich have submitted their final bid to Tottenham Hotspur for the services of the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, Harry Kane.
A report from Sky in Germany said the bid Bayern submitted to Tottenham for the 30-year-old English striker is worth over €100 million including add-ons.
The report also claimed that Bayern are not ready to wait for too long for Spurs’ response to the new bid, adding that the German Bundesliga giants are willing to move on to other options if Spurs fail to respond on time.
In the same vein, Harry Kane who is willing to join Bayern Munich and has even accepted the club’s terms, has told Spurs that he won’t accept to be sold if that is not done before the 2023-2024 Premier League season starts.
If this deadline is anything to go by, it means Spurs have just 8 days from now to decide on what to do with Bayern’s latest bid as they are scheduled to play their first Premier League game on August 13 against Brentford.
If Spurs fail to accept the €100 million bid from Tottenham and nothing else comes afterward, Harry Kane whose current contract with Spurs expires next summer and is unwilling to extend the deal, would leave the club for any club of his choice for free.
While Tottenham Hotspur are unwilling to sell him to a Premier League rival or sell him cheaply to a foreign club, they are afraid of losing him for free next summer, especially to a domestic rival.
Hence, these next few days will be a very tough one for the North London side as Kane continues to push for a Bayern Munich move where he could win some major titles which have eluded his prolific goalscoring career at Spurs.
Kane is Tottenham’s record goalscorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, having scored his first Spurs goal in December 2011 but no title to show for it.
