Barcelona on Thursday confirmed that their striker Robert Lewandowski has sustained a left ankle sprain.
Recall that Lewandowski came off injured in the first half of Barcelonaโs UEFA Champions League 1-0 win over Porto on Wednesday.
He was replaced by Ferran Torres after 34 minutes of Barcelonaโs tie with Porto.
However, in a statement via Barcelonaโs website, the 35-year-old will remain out of action until the injury heals.
This means that the former Bayern Munich attacker could miss Barcelonaโs next four matches against Granada, Athletic Club, Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid later this month.
