The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) is currently holding a meeting.
OsunDaily News learnt that the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu and other stakeholders are present are the meeting.
The meeting comes at a time the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in his media chat on Friday, raised some allegations against the PDP National Chairman.
The BoT meeting is expected to address the crisis affecting the main opposition party ahead of the 2023 elections.
The meeting which is been held in Abuja would also deliberate on the report of its reconciliation committee which concluded its assignment recently.
The National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; National Women Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, and other leaders are in attendance.
The meeting is being chaired by the acting BoT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara.
The camp of Governor Wike had threatened not to support the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar if the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu remains in office.
Governor Wike’s camp had condemned northern dominance in key positions in the party ahead of the 2023 races.
