A former Governor of Niger State, Dr Babangida Aliyu stated on Monday that the People’s Democratic Party’s flag bearer will deliver Nigeria from the hands of Boko Haram, and bandits.
Naija News recalls that the country has been hit hard by the insurgency which has claimed lives and properties and shaken the country itself as the giant of Africa.
At the South West’s 20 volunteer organisations’ declaration of support for Atiku in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, Aliyu also highlighted that the PDP candidate doesn’t need a fitness video.
Former governors Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano), Boni Haruna (Adamawa), former Acting PDP National Chairman Yemi Akinwonmi, Ogun PDP gubernatorial candidate Ladi Adebutu, his running partner Adekunle Akinlade, and other south-west PDP heavyweights were among those present at the occasion.
He said that the Atiku administration will “rid Nigeria” of Boko Haram, bandits, and other lawbreakers.
Shekarau on his part asked Nigerians to prepare their voter registration cards to overthrow the APC administration the next year.
Haruna also added, “I want to appeal to you to join us as you committed the primaries to support him, and you delivered; we also want to appeal to you that now that the campaigns have begun, we plead that this campaign should go to the wards, should go to the units,”
Adebutu also urged the South West to support Atiku during the event, declaring that the PDP “is the party that can move you to the mainstream of Nigeria.”
