Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that perseverance is one business success principle he shared with the late co-founder and former Group Chief Executive of Access Bank Holdings, Herbert Wigwe.
The Nigerian business mogul Dangote made this known at an event titled ‘Celebrating Herbert Wigwe – A Professional Legacy’ in Lagos on Monday.
The owner of Dangote Group, who was speaking with an emotionally shaky voice, said Wigwe was a soldier of courage.
He said Wigwe was a pillar of support for him and his family.
“His wise counsel and relentless support are central to the growth of Dangote group.
“His courage was second to none, and he was fearless.
“Herbert and I shared a common principle of perseverance, which is one of the cardinal virtues of success in Business”, he said
Recall that Wigwe’s family had announced a burial arrangement programme for the late Access Holdings Boss.
On February 9 2024, Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, son Chizi and the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbajo, died in an unfortunate helicopter crash in California, United States.
