About five months after the dissolution of elected local government council chairmen in Benue State, Governor Hyacinth Alia has forwarded a list of 23 caretaker chairmen nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
This was contained in a statement by Alia’s spokesperson, Sir Tersoo Kula, who confirmed the list had been sent to the lawmakers for screening.
The nominees are Hon. Guda T. Daniel, Vandeikya; Philip Achua, Konshisha; Alex T A Aka, Ushongo; Mark Tyhula Tile, Kwande; Francis Zanzaan, Katsina-Ala; Yakubu Ochepo, Agatu; Matthew Ochai Alidu, Apa; and Ire Arubi, Obi.
Also included are Hon.Oko Michael Etebe, Oju; Simon Unongo,Guma; Alexander Oketa Omaku, Otukpo; Charles Onazi Agbese, Ado; Okoh Joseph, Ogbadibo; and Omale Douglas Onyilo, Okpokwu.
The rest are Hon Samson Adah, Ohimini; Agber Tavershima Abraham, Gboko; Roy Terna Ashirga,Tarka; Agber Iorkya, Buruku; James Dwem, Makurdi; Comfort Agbo, Gwer-East; and Henry Agba,Gwer-West.
