Head coach of Nigeriaโ€™s Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro has confirmed that two players in his squad are injured ahead of his sideโ€™s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-final clash with Angola on Friday evening.

According to Peseiro, the two Super Eagles players are Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ahmed Musa.

The 63-year-old, who said this on Thursday, insisted that the duo are having some pain.

Peseiro, however, refused to rule out both players from Fridayโ€™s match between Nigeria and Angola.

Speaking with Channels Televisionโ€™s English-based reporter Austin Okon Akpan, Peseiro said: โ€œThere is injury at this moment. Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ahmed Musa have some pain, but I think they will be ready for the match tomorrow [Friday].โ€

Osayi-Samuel has played for the Super Eagles at the AFCON, while Musa has been a non-playing substitute in four consecutive matches.
