Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has urged Jose Peseiro’s side to relax and prepare their minds for their next 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 clash on Saturday.

The Brentford star spoke to reporters in the mixed zone after Nigeria defeated Guinea-Bissau 1-0 on Monday evening.

“It was good to win to build up the confidence; though it was difficult, we are happy for the win,” Onyeka said.

“We need to relax and prepare our minds for the next game. We don’t know who we are playing against but we are just happy that we qualified for the next round so we look forward to the next round.”

Nigeria will face one of Senegal, Guinea or Cameroon in a round-of-16 clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Saturday.
