Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman has admitted he feels pressured playing for his country.
Lookman has shone so far from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring three times as the Super Eagles qualified for the semi-finals.
If the 26-year-old sustains his form, he might be voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
However, Lookman insists it is not easy to deliver for the three-time African champions.
“I feel the pressure wearing this [Nigeria] shirt,” Lookman said as quoted by the BBC.
“Every single time I put on the jersey, that’s just what comes with being a Nigerian and playing for the country, so I’m proud to do that, to take that responsibility.”
