The Italian Serie A club announced Ademola Lookman as the award winner via Atalanta’s official social media account earlier today, October 13.
The 26-year-old winger made a significant impact by scoring two goals and providing one assist for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side during the month.
Lookman’s notable contributions included a goal and an assist in Atalanta’s 3-2 victory over Fiorentina and another goal in the team’s 3-2 loss to Como.
In addition, in the UEFA Champions League, he showcased his skill by scoring one goal and providing one assist in two games.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray are eagerly hoping for Victor Osimhen’s swift recovery to be ready for the upcoming Istanbul derby against Besiktas.
Osimhen recently resumed training after sustaining a muscle injury during the Turkish Super Lig champions’ 3-3 home draw against Kasimpasa.
This injury forced him to miss Galatasaray’s UEFA Europa League match against Latvian club Rigas FS and the league game against Alanyaspor.
Furthermore, Osimhen was also absent from Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya.
With the Istanbul derby scheduled for October 28, Galatasaray are keen on Osimhen’s return, given his impressive record of two goals and three assists in four appearances for the club.
