The United States of America has been reached out to by the Osun State Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke to support his five-point agenda initiative for the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain made this call while receiving the US Consular General, William Stevens, and his team who had paid him a courtesy call.

Adeleke on Thursday announced his intention to run a pro-development government and promised to establish a direct partnership with international development agencies.

He further stated that Osun State needs all the support to fast-track her developmental plans.

The spokesman to the Governor-elect, Olawale Rasheed in a statement released in Osogbo on Thursday quoted his principal as saying, โ€œI will work hard to improve the education and health sector while taking care of infrastructures, roads, water and others. We will boost the state economy and develop the tourism industry and enhance the tech space. We intend to embark on an agro-industrial programme to create jobs and wealth.

โ€œI will forge a close partnership with the United States Government to achieve strong performance in my five-point agenda. We will open our hands to partnership in education, technology, health, women, youth, digital economy and others.โ€

Stevens while responding to Adelekeโ€™s demand said the team was in Osun State in a display of strong interest of the United States government in Nigeriaโ€™s democratic growth and development.
