The suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele on Thursday appeared before a federal high court in Abuja for arraignment.
OsunDailyNG reports Emefiele was brought in from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) where he has been since he was suspended from office on June 9, 2023.
He appeared in a blue kaftan.
However, the suspended CBN Governor did not want his face captured and tried to hide as the journalists also struggled to have him on camera.

Meanwhile, as earlier reported by this platform,ย Emefiele was arraigned on Thursday before Justice Hamza Muazu of the FCT high court in Maitama on a 20-count charge of illegal procurement.
The arraignment over N6.9 billion alleged procurement fraud was however stalled due to the absence of the first and second defendants who are said to be indisposed.
Following an application for adjournment, the Presiding Judge, Justice Hamza Muazu adjourned the matter to August 23, 2023.
