Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the shirtless celebration of Nigerian international striker, Asisat Oshoala, following her brilliant goal against Australia at the Lang Park Stadium, on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
OsunDailyNG reported that Asisat became the first African player to score at three FIFA Women’s World Cup editions after Nigeria defeated Australia by 3 goals to 2 in the ongoing competition.
Oshoala, who started the game on the bench but was introduced in the second half at 1-1, changed the direction of the game after scoring a spectacular goal in the 72nd minute, making her yank off her jersey to celebrate the feat.
In a post via his Twitter page on Friday, Shehu Sani advised Nigerians to overlook Asisat Oshoala’s shirtless stunt.
According to him, Nigerians should appreciate the Super Falcons, focus on their performance, and not judge Oshola’s faith or morality.
He tweeted, “Don’t talk too much about Asisat Shirtless stunt. I only looked at it once. Just appreciate her great performance and that of other Falcons.”
