The Senate is currently holding a session behind closed doors apparently to sort out some issues ahead of disclosing the Ministerial nominees sent to it for screening and confirmation by President Bola Tinubu.
According to Leadership, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had arrived at the chamber at about 12 noon. The plenary began some minutes past 12 noon.
The Senateโs official time of sitting is 10 am, even though the timing relatively fluctuates between 10 am and 11.30 am.
Tinubu had reportedly forwarded a Ministerial List containing the names of Nyesom Wike, Nasir E-Rufai, Gboyega Oyetola, and Ben Ayade.
Others on the Ministerial List to be unveiled on the floor of the Senate this Thursday afternoon include President Tinubuโs top aide, Dele Alake; Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; APC national woman leader, Dr. Betta Edu; former Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Wale Edun; ex-Minister of State for Health, Prof. Ali Pate, ex-deputy governor of CBN, Adebayo Adelabu, from Oyo State, and others.
