Bayo Onanuga, a former media aide to President Bola Tinubu has berated those who supported the Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination (JAMB) candidate, Mmesoma Ejikeme over the forgery of her UTME result.
OsunDailyNG reports that Ejikeme had claimed that she scored 362 in her UTME examinations.
However, JAMB denied the claim, insisting that the result was forged.
The back and forth between JAMB and Ejikeme had generated much controversy, a situation that made the Anambra State government constitute a panel to investigate the matter.
Further investigation revealed that the teenager had indeed forged the result she paraded for days.
The 19-year-old also confessed to the crime, disclosing that she carried out the deed on her own.
Reacting to Ejikeme’s confession via Twitter, Onanuga insisted that those who were initially supporting the culprit should have considered JAMB’s version of the story before jumping to a conclusion.
Onanuga tweeted: “The truth about Ejikeme Mmesoma’s forgery of her UTME scores is now out, thanks to a committee set up by Anambra Government.
“The teenage girl confessed she committed the forgery by herself. Shame to all those ethnic jingoists who rushed to her support without consideration for JAMB’s version of the story.”
