Tucker Carlson says heโll relaunch his show on Twitter three weeks after leaving Fox News.
He tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, โWeโre backโ to indicate that he will be starting โa new versionโ of his previous show on Twitter.
In a video posted on his Twitter page, Mr Carlson said Twitter is a non-partisan platform that allows free speech.
Mr Carlson did not reveal the details of the new show but criticised the traditional media for reporting โliesโ to its audience.
He said media facts are often misleading because there are limits and media professionals can be โfiredโ for going against the limits.
The 53-year-old said that only Twitter allows free speech, unlike traditional media where free speech is not allowed.
โTwitter has longed served as the place where our national conversation incubated and develops,โ he said.
โTwitter is not a partisan site, everybodyโs allowed here and we think thatโs a good thing.
โAnd yet, for the most part, the news that you see analysed on Twitter comes from media organisations that are themselves thinly disguised propaganda outlets,โ Mr Carlson said.
On April 24, the management of Fox News revealed that Mr Carlson will not be returning to the screen days after Fox settled a defamation suit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million,
Mr Carlson has gained 500,000 new followers after announcing, with over 24.4 million views on the video.
