The Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) Aloy Ejimakor has called on the Supreme Court to ensure that justice is served in the case of the agitator.
He begged the court to undo the injustice meted out on Kanu when he was taken into custody two years ago.
Tweeting, he urged the court to be guided by equity, justice, and good conscience in deciding Kanuโs case.
According to Ejimakor: โAs the Supreme Court convenes to hear Onyendu # MNKโs appeal today, let equity, justice & good conscience guide the hand of the Court to undo the grave injustice that was done to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu almost two years ago. Injustice has an expiry date. Let today be that expiry date.โ
OsunDaily News understands that the apex court will today hear the appeal Kanu filed over his continuous detention at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility in Abuja.
The appeal, which was filed on November 3, 2022, was against the decision of the Court of Appeal which, on October 28 2022, stayed the execution of its earlier order acquitting him of all charges and directing his release from the custody of the secret police.
