Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernadez has attributed his side’s disappointing draw to his team’s errors
Xavi also complained that the Champions League has been cruel to them this year.
When Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez scored, the Serie A team took the lead after Ousmane Dembele had scored first.
Barca’s Robert Lewandowski pulled them even, but Robin Gosens restored Inter’s lead.
In added time, Lewandowski drew even again, but it was too late for Xavi’s team. If Inter wins their final two games against Viktoria Plzen and Bayern Munich, Barca will be eliminated from the Champions League and move into the Europa League.
“The Champions League is being cruel to us this season.
“Against Bayern Munich, we were not clinical enough. There were other circumstances in Milan last week, but there is no need to talk about [those refereeing decisions], and then tonight it is down to defensive mistakes.
“Our chances of going through are very remote now. We won’t lose hope, but the situation is really difficult. We no longer depend on ourselves and it is down to our own errors,” Barca Boss said.
