Nigerian International, Francis Uzoho, claims that playing for Old Trafford is a fulfilment of a lifelong dream.
OsunDaily News earlier reported how the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Uzoho, put up a stellar display in his team’s loss against Manchester United in the Europa League.
Injured Omonia first-choice Fabiano was replaced by Uzoho, who made 12 saves overall, nine saves in the box, and 100% of his aerial duels.
After the game, Uzoho responded to his impressive performance, in which he stopped players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, and Antony:
“I am not disappointed (about the loss) because we had a good game but I would have preferred that we get a point. But I’m happy because it’s not an easy stadium to play in with big players so I’m happy.
“It’s a dream come through for me. I have dreamt of playing here for a long time so when I saw the draw and figured that I will be playing in Old Trafford I wanted to play and I got the opportunity to play here.”
The former Elche player also revealed that the night at Old Trafford was so far the best in his career.
The 23-year-old has featured twice for his Cypriot club in the Europa League, and has 85.7 save percentage according to Fbref statistics.
