The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday held a meeting with members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

The meeting which was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, had the presence of some governors elected on the platform of APC.

OsunDaily News had earlier reported that the meeting was fixed to resolve the issue around the presidential campaign list of the party and the way forward ahead of the 2023 general election.

However, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who was not added to the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential campaign council was not at the meeting.

The meeting which was attended by some members of the party’s NWC saw the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu absent.

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who has been silent on the runnings of the party since he lost the presidential ticket to Atiku was also absent from the meeting.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria, Babachir Lawal were not in the meeting.

The Presidential candidate of the APC had called the emergency meeting with the aggrieved members of the party for reconciliation, but some aggrieved party chieftains were still absent from the meeting.
