Hon Busayo Oluwole Oke has advised Ijesa North people to shun all acts of divisiveness and embrace genuine love by consolidating on the gains made by individuals and collectively in the Constituency in the outgoing year.
The Lawmaker representing Oriade Obokun Federal Constituency gave this charge in his New Year message released in his residence GRA Osogbo on the first day of the year 2023.
He said ” On behalf of myself and the Good People of Ijesa North, I rejoice with my Constituents on the celebration of the new year – 2023.”
” The most important gift by God Almighty is the gift of life.I thank God for counting us among the living despite the many challenges that came with the year 2022.”
” The last 365 days were a blend of challenges and opportunities for us all, especially I acknowledge the perseverance and resilience of our people in the face of security challenges brought upon the nation by persistent banditry and Kidnapping.”
” Our watchword should be security awareness as last year I had the opportunity of donating security patrol Vans to security operatives in the Constituency in order to properly carry out their surveillance of the Constituency.”
” Everybody has a civil duty to cooperate and provide relevant information to security agencies as they have made substantial contributions to combat crimes such as armed robbery and Kidnapping within the Constituency and cross borders, and, therefore need our cooperation in the run-up to this year’s general elections.”
