Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli have reportedly made a whooping €120 million offer to Napoli to sign Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen in this summer transfer window.
Italian publication Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that the Saudi Pro League side is ready to pay Victor Osimhen €30 million for a four-year deal. This will make him one of the highest-paid footballers in Saudi Arabia.
Negotiations between the player’s representatives and the Saudi Arabian club are reportedly underway, with officials from Al Ahli expected to travel to Europe to meet with Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, within the week. Should Osimhen accept the offer, the two clubs will need to reach an agreement on the transfer fee.
Note that Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea are said to be the only known European clubs still strongly interested in signing Victor Osimhen this summer. The two clubs have just three days to seal a deal with Osimhen and Napoli before the summer transfer window closes.
While European clubs have until August 31 before the window closes, the Saudi Pro League have the advantage of buying players until October 6, when their window is scheduled to close.
As it stands, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker would prefer to remain in Europe than move to the Saudi Pro League despite the enticing offer, according to reports.
