Former Liverpool star Danny Murphy has suggested that Chelseaโs Cole Palmer is a better overall footballer than Arsenalโs Bukayo Saka.
Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City last summer, scored a hat-trick on Thursday night against Manchester United.
Speaking about Palmer and Saka, Murphy told TalkSPORT that Palmer has more goals than Saka.
โHeโs got more goals than Saka. Look, donโt get me wrong; I love Saka and heโs a right winger out and out, Palmerโs kind of playing there as a 10. But his all around game (Palmerโs) you could argue is better,โ Murphy said.
โIโm not saying heโs a better right-winger than Saka but his all-round footballing ability, in terms of passing, linking, dropping in, because Saka doesnโt play that role as he does, so itโs not a fully fair comparison.โ
He added: โBut I donโt see why itโs not an argument to have that he canโt take the place of anyone in the England team, apart from Bellingham, because of his numbers.โ
