The popular Wuse market in Abuja has reopened for business three days after it was shut down.
OsunDailyNG recalls that the market was sealed by government authorities on Tuesday following a violence triggered by killing of a hawker.
The incident led to burning of about 10 shops owned by traders, as well as eight vehicles, including a police van and that of a correctional facility.
The Public Relation Officer, PRO, of the Abuja Market Management Limited, AMML, Innocent Obiechina, confirmed that the market was reopened around 12:00 pm on Friday.
He said the development was sequel to stakeholdersโ engagements at the office of the FCT Police Commissioner, CP Bennett Igwe, on Friday.
