A human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has knocked Erisco Foods for not sharing the list of Nigerians killed by an alleged tomato paste cabal or tomato paste importers as previously claimed by its owner, Eric Umeofia.
Effiong made this known on Sunday via his verified X handle, saying history will vindicate the just.
The lawyer shared alleged screenshots of reports (not OsunDailyNG) where Umeofia made the claim.
He said the claim was made in March 2015, and repeated in July 2016.

โTheyโre yet to share the list of Nigerians killed by tomato paste cabal or tomato paste importers.
โHistory will vindicate the just,โ Effiong wrote while sharing the screenshots.
The statement comes amid threat by Nigerians to boycott Erisco products over the companyโs continued persecution of a reviewer, Chioma Okoli.
Okoli had stirred controversy when she posted a negative review on Erisco Tomato Paste on a social media platform.
The Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods had also threatened to slam Okoli with a N5 billion lawsuit over her negative review of the companyโs tomato paste.
Recently, Umeofia vowed on national television that he would continue the persecution of Okoli despite confirming her apologies.
Okoli has also been seen weeping profusely over the companyโs suit against her in a trending video.
The details shared by Okoliโs lawyer, Effiong, indicated the Inspector General of Police has filed a โcybercrimeโ charge against Chioma.
โFor emphasis, our determination to seek justice is unshakable. No degree of boasting, arrogance or intimidation will make us give up. We are not going to yield to threats. Those advising us to beg should keep stop wasting their energy,โ he added.
