Pelumi Nubi, a Nigerian lady, has embarked on a solo trip from London, the United Kingdom, to Lagos, Nigeria, by car.
The Nigerian travel content creator on Monday informed her over 40,000 followers that she will commence the two month solo trip in a car on Tuesday January 30th, 2024.
The UK-based blogger explained that before she started the trip, she interacted with people who have “tackled similar adventures and realised that no black woman has made this journey before”.
“Hey, everyone! I have got a crazy idea that I’m turning into reality. I am driving solo from London to Lagos Starting 30th January 2024.
“For months, I’ve been chatting with folks who’ve tackled similar adventures. As far as I know, no black woman has made this journey before. But this isn’t about breaking records. It’s about showing the world that “impossible” is just a word, especially when you have got enough grit and determination.”
Peugeot 107 has been customized for Pelumi’s trip which features provisions for sleeping and dining.
OsunDailyNG reports that the London to Lagos trip takes about six and half hours on a direct flight.
This is coming barely two years after a Nigerian tourist, Kunle Adeyanju, rode a bike from London to Lagos.
