Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday fixed February 5th and 6th for the continuation of hearing in the charges brought against Ali Bello and others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

The charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/550/2022: FRN vs Ali Bello & others were pushed forward to February 5 and 6 following the conclusion of evidence by the second witness of the anti-graft agency, Edward Bananda

Justice Omotosho after Thursdayโ€™s proceeding announced the February adjournment for Ali Belloโ€™s lawyer to subject the EFCC witness to cross-examination.

At Thursdayโ€™s proceeding, the prosecution, led by Rotimi Oyedepo SAN, continued the Examination-in-chief of the 2nd Witness in the matter, Edward Bananda who gave evidence of financial transactions of the Kogi State Government and the Kogi State Government House Administration.

The witness testified as to the inflow and outflow concerning the Government House Account, which were cash withdrawals and transfers from the account.

In all of the evidence given by the witness, no transfer was made to the defendants and neither were there any cash withdrawals by them.

The witness concluded his evidence in chief and the matter was consequently adjourned to the 5th and 6th of February 2024 for the continuation of hearing, specifically for cross-examination.
