The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, has called on Nigerians to use the birth of Jesus Christ to shun bitterness and forgive one another.
Chukwuma made the call in his Christmas message in Enugu, on Sunday, saying Christians should do away with the things that divide and destroy Nigeria as a nation.
He also noted that Christmas was a time of hope, reconciliation, peace and total surrender to God, as well as being humble, calling on Nigerians to give Jesus Christ a space in their hearts, have a new life and be in peace with one another.
The Archbishop prayed for Godโs intervention in the affairs of the nation, and for serious economic, social and judiciary revival.
The cleric charged political leaders to remember the people and ensure that the present economic realities in the country were addressed.
He called on the rich to use Christmas to remember the poor and the needy in the society.
