Daniel Bwala, a media aide to the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has urged President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the National Assembly to urgently address the migration of Nigerians abroad.
Bwala lamented that staff of universities and medical practitioners are migrating abroad in droves owing due to poor, unpaid salaries, and working conditions.
Posting on X, Bwala disclosed that Nigerians who are frustrated by the poor working conditions of the country are leaving their jobs and migrating abroad.
According to Bwala: โFrustration and mass resignation hitting public universities due to japa-risation.
โThe reasons advanced are โpoor and delayed salaries, unpaid allowances, poor infrastructure and lack of respect for the academic community.
โHospitals short staffed due to Doctors and nurses Japa-risation to UAE, Canada, US and UK. Now University lecturers follow suit.
โItโs been ongoing for ages in the private sector, no one cared, now it is hitting the public sector (critical to national security.
