Nigeria winger Yira Sor admitted that things have been tough for him at Belgian Pro League side, KRC Genk.
Sor scored a brace in Genk’s 2-2 draw against KAA Gent on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old has struggled to get regular playing time with the Smurfs this season.
“The coach told me on Saturday that I had to be ready, because there was a chance that I would be in the starting line-up,” Sor told Het Belang Van Limburg.
“Of course I was happy, because I have not played that often and that was difficult for me. But I continued to believe in myself and knew that I would have to seize my chance. I succeeded with two goals.”
Sor has scored two goals in nine league appearances for Genk this season.
