Shooting Stars chairmman, Babatunde Olaniyan, has appealed to the club supporters to avoid trouble in their matchday six encounter against Remo Stars.
The Oluyole Warriors will lock horns with Remo Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Wednesday (today).
Olaniyan urged the travelling fans to eschew all forms of violence and embrace peace.
โWe know that our people will travel in their large numbers to Ikenne, to cheer their darling team up against their southwest brothers, it is on this premise, that I want to appeal to them to shun any form of violence,โ he told the clubโs media.
โThese lay credence to the fact that between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars, the days of violence are over. It is a matter of two brothers being involved in a contest. It is therefore a brotherly affair.โ
DAILY POST recalled that both clubs supporters met to improve their relationships towards the start of the 2023-24 NPFL season.
Encounters involving both sides have experienced unruly acts in the past, with injuries and destruction of properties at stadiums.
