The Adamawa State Police Command said it has arrested no fewer than six suspected kidnappers who demanded a ransom of N5 million for an abducted nine-year-old boy in Mubi South Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Nguroje, who disclosed this in Yola on Monday, said that the suspects kidnapped the victim, Mustapha Ibrahim, on October 18 at about 6:30 pm.
The suspects were arrested after the victim’s father complained at the police station on October 19.
The police spokesperson identified the suspects as Abubakar Mohammed, 23, Auwal Usman, 21, Abdulhamid Musa, 19, Mohammed Abubakar, 37, Umar Mohammed, 20, and Muhammad Nasir, 20.
