Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho, has blamed poor finishing for his side’s failure to beat Sporting Lagos in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday two encounter on Sunday.
The Promise Keepers were held to a 0-0 draw by the NPFL new boys at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Osho’s side dominated possession in the game but failed to break down the opposition defence.
The young tactician was unhappy with the failure of his strikers to convert the chances they created in the game.
“It was almost a one-sided game, but the strikers let us down. The quality of the attack is worrisome and we are going to work on them,” Osho said after the game.
“We hope for a positive result in our next game against Enyimba.”
Akwa United have picked just one point from their opening two games of the season.
