The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye has disclosed that tactical steps adopted by the command led to the current sustained peace in the state, warning criminals to repent or face the wrath of the law.

The CP made this known at the 30 years anniversary and reunion of Kagara Science College Old Boys Association, Set of 1993, where he was honoured with Award of Excellence as an Integrated Science teacher during his National Youth Service Corps in the school in Minna, Niger state.

The Commissioner who spoke through the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Torchukwu Ikenga, noted that tactical measures were taken to maintain the peace.

He insisted that the state is secured from all forms of criminal elements, while debunking rumors and social media false publications painting the state in bad light to the world.

According to him,โ€ Presently, Anambra is safe, Anambra is peaceful, anybody can come to the State and enjoy their stay. If you are familiar with the security situation, you will see that the situation has been normalized, this has to do with the policy brought in by the state Commissioner of Policeโ€.

The Anambra State Commissioner thanked the Kagara Old Boys for the recognition after 30 years of impactful moments he had with them, despite the challenges being faced then.

He stated, โ€œTeaching is a noble profession and deserves to be given the desired attention to ensure standardization in the nationโ€™s educational sector.

The former principal, Mohammed Agwai in his remarks, urged members of the alumni to unite, assist and support each other as well as to ensure the development of their former school while assuring them of his continuous prayers.

Similarly, the former Head boy, Pharm. Shehu Ahmed Madaki decried the deplorable condition of the structure and continued closure of Kagara Science College as a result of the activities of the bandits while calling for the provision of adequate security to ensure its reopening.

He also commended all former principals and teachers of the school for impacting positively in their lives, which he said is visible in their lives today.
