The Super Eagles of Nigeria will battle a tight schedule and long travel hours for their opening two fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The West Africans are scheduled to face the Likuena of Lesotho and the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Thursday and Sunday, respectively.

The team will have just two training sessions (Tuesday and Wednesday) before filing out against Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Thursday.

Jose Peseiroโ€™s men are expected to have a recovery session on Friday morning before embarking on a five-hour trip to Kigali, Rwanda, for their next game against Zimbabwe.

That will be followed by a road trip from Kigali to Butare, the city where they will battle with Zimbabwe.

The matchday two encounter against Baltemar Britoโ€™s side is slated for Huye Stadium, Butare.

The stadium has an artificial turf, which will not be a pleasing news to the ears of Nigeriaโ€™s foreign-based stars.
