Wilfred Ndidi will miss Nigeriaโ€™s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe due to injury, DAILY POST reports.

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca revealed ahead of the Foxes Sky Bet Championship clash against Leeds United that the midfielder is suffering from a muscular problem.

โ€œWilf will be out until the international break. It is also a muscular problem,โ€Maresca was quoted by the clubโ€™s official website.

โ€œItโ€™s a small thing but when the problem is muscular, even if itโ€™s small, itโ€™s always one week or two weeks because we donโ€™t want to take any risks.โ€

Talismanic striker Victor Osimhen is also ruled out for the game, while there are concerns over the availability of defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi.

The Super Eagles will host the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Friday, November 17.

Jose Peseiroโ€™s side will travel away to Zimbabwe for their matchday two encounter three days later.

The game is slated for Huye Stadium.
