Less than 100 days to the 2023 general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that it will print a total of 187million ballot papers.

This was made known by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye on Friday.

Okoye who spoke at a Roundtable with Bureau Chiefs/ Editors in Abuja said 93.5 million ballot papers will be used on February 25, 2023, for the presidential election and the remaining 93.5million ballot papers will be for run-off of the presidential election in case there is no clear winner.

In the struggle to rid the coming election from all form of electoral malpractices, the commission have vowed to deploy the use of technology.

The electoral umpireโ€™s boss stated this in a statement published on Wednesday, titled, โ€˜A message from the INEC chairman: 100 days to the 2023 general electionโ€™.

Yakubu said INEC had made a steady progress in electoral reform and election administration, adding that Nigeriansโ€™ confidence in the electoral process was increasing.

He further stated that the commission would keep Nigerians posted on the progress it was making and challenges it was confronting as the 2023 elections inched closer.
