Security sources, on Friday night, confirmed that twenty medical students that were kidnapped in Benue State have just been rescued.
According to the sources that spoke with Channels TV, the operation was coordinated by the office of the National Security Adviser.
Security agencies – the police, DSS and military personnel and equipment were involved in the operation, with the support of the Benue state government.
OsunDailyNG recall that the students, who were en route to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention in Enugu, were ambushed during their journey.
