A 16-year-old Quranic pupil, Al-amin Babatunde Sulyman, has been declared missing in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Al-amin, a student of Zamratul Arabic School in the Okekere area of Ilorin metropolis, was last seen on September 17,2023, on his way to the school, but has not been found till date.
DAILY POST reports that efforts by the parents to locate the missing boy since then have not yielded any positive results.
His father, Imam Muhammadu Salihu, reportedly brought the boy from Lagos to acquire Quranic education in Ilorin in 2015.
Imam said he brought Al-amin from Ikorodu in Lagos State to acquire Quranic education after completing his JSS 3 Western education.
According to the father, efforts to locate his son proved unsuccessful, while the matter has been reported to the police.
Imam lamented that the family has not been contacted since the fateful day the boy was declared missing by anyone to demand ransom for his release if abducted by suspected kidnappers.
The distraught father appealed to the members of the public to assist and take the missing boy to any nearest police station if found.
Efforts to reach the spokesman of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, on the matter proved abortive in Ilorin on Wednesday.
